Rival at the Rezzanine!

Interested in joining the esports community, but don't know where to start? We've got you covered! 

Starting October 8th we are premiering our Rezz esports league starting with Rocket League! Get a team of 3 together and join us every Tuesday for 9 weeks to compete against other gamers for your chance at winning up to $500 in prizes!

Rules

Registration:
● Teams must be registered by the registration deadline to be considered eligible.
● If registration cap is reached, registration will remain open until the deadline and
teams registering after cap will be placed on a waitlist.
● All registrations must be made before September 30 th , 2024.

Date/Times:
● It will be a 9-week League starting on Tuesday, October 8 th .
● Games will take place every Tuesday between 6pm-9pm
● The last day of pool play will be December 3 rd .
● The championship and second chance tournament are currently TBD sometime
in December.

League Structure
● League will begin with pool play. Based off the final pool standings the top teams will
advance to the champion’s bracket. The remaining will advance to the consolation
bracket. Both Brackets will be single elimination.
● Each match will be the best of 3 games to declare a winner, however all pool
games must be played for ranking.
● all games will be 3v3
● A team captain will be selected for each team by the team.

○ 3 games during pool play.
○ 2 out of 3 during tournament play.

Captain’s responsibilities:
● Team captains will be the main point of contact between teams and Rezzanine league
organizers.
● Captains are responsible for
○ Reporting scores at end of match
○ Communicating any scheduling conflicts or reasons for no shows
○ Communicating any information from the Rezzanine to their team
○ If there is a problem before, during, or after a match the captain of each team is
responsible for speaking for their team and/or players.
■ Rezzanine League Organizers will approve all resolutions.

Game length:
● All games will be 5 minutes long.
● There will be a 2-minute intermission between games for teams to review or strategize.

Arena/Map:
● All games will be played on DFH stadium only

Mercy Rules:
● There are no Mercy Rules. All games will be played to their conclusion.

Overtime:
● If a game is ties at the end of the 5 minutes then a sudden death overtime will be played.
The first team to score will be the winner of that game.

Forfeits:
● If a team forfeits their first match of the league that team may be dropped and replaced
with a team on the waiting list
● Defined as the following:
○ Any team that does not arrive on site 5 minutes before their match is supposed
to take place (exceptions will be made, depending on circumstances. Approved
only by Rezzanine League Organizers)

Disconnects or Connectivity Issues:
● In the event of a disconnect or other WiFi issue during a game, the game will be
restarted at the 5 minute time mark. The implied score of the game will be whatever the
score was before the disconnect. Both teams are required to let the clock run down on
the new game until it reaches the same time that was left when the disconnect occurred
and resume the game.

○ EX: if the game was 2-1 with 2:30 left when the disconnect occurred. A new
game will be started. The score will still be considered 2-1 and no player is
allowed to move until the clock of the new game reaches 2:30. The game will
then be played out as normal with the score from the original game added after.

Leaving early or No shows:
● All players and teams are required to be on site 5 minutes before their game is
supposed to start. Any late arrivals will be considered your team forfeiting.
● If a team does not show up for their scheduled game without communicating to the
Rezzanine staff 24 hours before their game start time they will be disqualified from the
league.

Player Eligibility
● Players may only compete for 1 team in each league.

Playing Area/ Equipment
● Peripherals
○ Players are required to uses the approved mice, keyboards, and
controllers the Rezzanine provides.

● Clothing and Equipment
○ It is asked that all players dress respectfully and present themselves in a
hygienic way.
○ The Rezzanine reserves the right to ask participants to remove or conceal
clothing that, in the opinion of the Rezzanine, displays offensive,
demeaning, or inappropriate language, imagery, or exposes an
inappropriate amount of the participants’ body.

Sportsmanship Policy
● Good sportsmanship, by all participants, is expected, during all games of the league.
● All participants and/or teams should submit any unruly behavior at the end of each
match.
○ If someone is exhibiting poor sportsmanship during the match, please take a
screenshot of it and submit it with your end of match results.

● We take sportsmanship very seriously and if it has been an issue, you or your team will
be required to stream or allow one of the league moderators to watch all of your future
games.
● Depending on the severity of the bad sportsmanship, that player and/or team is subject
to elimination and/or band from current and future participation in league play.
● In the event of an ejection, players or teams will be asked, to leave the facility
immediately. They will not be permitted back in, until given permission, by Rezzanine
Staff.

Failure to adhere to any of these league rules will result in an immediate disqualification
and a potential band participation in now and future leagues. As well as being band from
the facility.
The Rezzanine has the right to remove or band any participant or team at any time from
league play.
All situations not covered by the above rules will be resolved by the Rezzanine League
Organizers.
